Artist Statements:
Soncha Iacono
I am exploring the colour of carnival, the swirl of a lollipop and the deformed creatures that dwell beyond the tent flaps, demented and beautifully grotesque.
Ilona Nelson
I am looking at what society perceives as a freak and how does one define that.
Sayraphim Lothian
When the clowns clean off their makeup, when the acrobats take off their tights, when the ring master hangs up his hat and coat, they can slip back into the crowds and away.
The sideshow freaks, however, don’t blend in so well when they’re off duty.
With special guest appearances by Chris Nettleship, Andrew McDougal, Robert Reid, Anniene Stockton and Anna Schoo
