A Minor Collection of Unnatural History2007 |
A Minor Collection of Unnatural History is a unique exhibition of previously undiscovered monsters. The collection consists of 25 previously unknown monsters. Each monster is presented with photographs of them in their natural environment, a short history of the monster itself as well as the monster interpreted in sculptural form by a variety of local artists. Media includes crochet, jewellery, textiles, resin, plush toys, bone, medical instruments and more. In addition to the monsters themselves, Omnific Assembly is proud to present a collection of tools designed specifically for the collection of scientific data on the monsters, by artist Roslyn Quin, and the images and stories have been gathered together and bound into a book which was for sale at the gallery during the exhibition.
